Meet Dr. Mohamed Ali, DDS

Dr. Mohamed Ali is a leading pioneer in implant dentistry and specializes in minimally invasive treatments for bone and soft tissue grafting. His state-of-the-art dental office, Implants Pro Center®, is located centrally in San Francisco’s Union Square. As one of the best dentists in the Bay Area and with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Ali knows what it takes to provide beautiful smiles and quality service. 

Dr. Ali holds doctoral dental degrees from the Aleppo School of Dentistry and the Loma Linda School of Dentistry. As a student at Loma Linda, Dr. Ali had the privilege of working with world-renowned Dr. Philip Boyne, honored by the dental community as “the Grandfather of Bone Grafting in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.” It was under Dr. Boyne’s mentorship that he learned how to surgically reconstruct bone and soft tissue in the maxilla and mandible, at a time when such involved procedures were neoteric. Throughout his years of practice, Dr. Ali has perfected his bone and gum grafting techniques, allowing him to deliver to his patients wonderful results in both function and aesthetic. Additionally, he has held teaching positions within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, San Bernardino County Medical Center, and Riverside General Hospital. His professional affiliations include membership in the Center For Dental Medicine, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Francisco Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Dental Board of California, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as Invisalign certification.

Dr. Ali’s deep understanding of bone physiology has enabled him to help thousands of patients restore and rehabilitate their oral function and smile. As a dedicated, life-long learner, he maintains his mind and practice by consistently studying contemporary innovations in dental care and teaching educational courses. He aims to make his style of practice approachable and accessible to anyone in the field who is interested in his work through these courses. His newest venture, CAD CAM 450®, further builds on his passion for learning. CAD CAM 450 is the first and only fully digital lab in San Francisco, founded for the purpose of delivering superior dental restoratives and prosthetics that take advantage of new advances in technology. At his lab, Dr. Ali was able to develop porcelain fused to metal (Cobalt-chrome) full-arch bridges over implants, which not only offer better aesthetic outcomes than the full zirconium bridges that are standard in the market, but also make for extremely conservative surgeries. While the country’s standard protocol requires immense bone reduction for the full-arch implant placement surgeries implicated in zirconium bridge preparation, zero bone reduction is necessary for surgeries done prior to porcelain fused to Cobalt-chrome bridge placement. Dr. Ali is also the patentee of the Meta Implant, a progressive form of implant dentistry, further exemplifying his commitment to quality practices in the dental industry.
